National Service Scheme(N.S.S.)

Our NSS volunteers Ananya of II com A and Chinmayee S.Rao of II sci B receiving honour for attending and being awarded with gold medal with their outstanding performance in the National integration camp held at Hariyana.

Our NSS Unit Activities were inaugurated by Smt.Savitha Yermal ,Division Officer, Mangalore Division National Service Scheme P.U. Department.

Yoga training programme was conducted in association with NSS and Rovers & Rangers units, S.D.M. college of naturopathy and yogic science ujire.Trainers were Mr.Vinit D.G. and Miss.Gannya Shree.

Swachatha Abhiyan ,an awareness and jatha program along with street play was organised by NSS unit in association with Junior Red Cross and Rovers & Rangers in which Smt.Vineetha Rai ,Register- School of Social Work,Roshni Nilaya was the chief resource person.

N.S.S. Day was observed in which Former NSS program Officer Mr.Paika Venkataramana conducted the session.

World Environment Day was observed in association with NSS and Rovers & Rangers Unit in which seed ball preparation and saplings were planted and information was given by Sri Yugendra, Assistant Horticulture officer.

NSS unit of our college organised guest talk on Human Trafficking and Pocso in which Smt.Kavitha Murugesh, Advocate & Notary Government of India was the resource person.

International Democracy Day was observed by NSS unit in collaboration with Electoral Literacy Club.

The Indian Constitution was adopted by the constituent assembly on 26 November 1949.To commemorate this event 26th November is celebrated as the constitution day in which Mrs. Chaitra Shetty NSS program officer read the preamble of Indian Constitution and Mrs.Shubha S.Rai addressed students on significance of Indian Constitution.

Panch Pran(five resolves) pledge was undertaken by the students and teachers to ensure a developed India in the next 25 years. The pledge was administrated by Ms. Gayathri Devadiga, lecture in statistics.

Sadbhavan Diwas(Harmony Day) was observed on 20th August as a mark of respect to our former prime minister Late Rajeev Gandhi on the occasion of his birth anniversary.

World environment day was observed by NSS unit in Govinda Dasa Pre University college Surathkal by planting saplings as well as an awareness program was organised on 2024 theme 'OUR LAND OUR FUTURE'.

International yoga day was observed in our college by organising yoga training program from 19th June 2024 to 21st June 2024. Dr Gannyashree, BNYS SDM college of Naturopathy and yogic sciences trained our students.

Inauguration of NSS activities for the year 2024-25 was held on 1st July Monday.Mrs Pratheeksha, Lecturer Govinda Dasa College was the inaugurator.

International child Labour Day was observed in our college on 12th June 2024 by taking pledge. Sri Venktramana, Student welfare officer read out the pledge. Principal Smt. Lakshmi P. was present on the occasion. All the volunteers of NSS unit took part in it.

24 September 2024 celebrated as National Service Scheme Day by our NSS volunteers. NSS was launched on this day in the year 1969.

World Environment Day was celebrated by NSS, under the theme: “Planting Saplings”.
