Junior Red Cross unit conducted awareness programme on harmful effects of Tobacco consumption in which Dr. Nischitha, medical officer Primary healthcare centre was the resource person.

Junior Red Cross unit in association with surathkal police station organised an Awareness Programme on Drug Free Mangalore in which Punneth M. Gavankar, sub inspector surathkal police station was the resource person.

Basic First Aid Training programme was held in which Mr.Sacheth Suvarna ,Director-District Youth Red Cross Committee conducted the training session with Demo.

Junior Red Cross orientation programme was held on 27/06/24. Mrs. Poornima Gokhale, co-ordinator, Youth Red Cross Society Govinda Dasa college was the Resource person.

‘Krishi Ninada’ an awareness programme for the students regarding agriculture was held on 29/06/24 at Ninada Rangamandira Pavanje.Our students actively participated in the paddy planting programme.

Junior Red Cross unit of our college organized Leadership skills training programme for JRC volunteers in which Ms.Dipali D.K. was the resource person.

World Environment Day was celebrated by Junior Red Cross unit under the theme: “Planting Saplings”.

As part of the World Environment Day celebrations, our college organized a Sapling Plantation Drive to promote environmental conservation and inspire students to protect and preserve nature.

The programme was graced by the Chief Guest, Sri Shravan Kumar Nalwad, Deputy Range Forest Officer, Surathkal, and the Guest of Honour, Sri Gangadhar Navi, Beat Forest Officer, Surathkal. Addressing the gathering, they highlighted the importance of afforestation, biodiversity conservation, and sustainable environmental practices. They encouraged students to actively participate in tree plantation drives and adopt eco-friendly habits in their daily lives.

To commemorate the occasion, the dignitaries, along with the Principal, faculty members, and students, planted saplings on the college campus, symbolizing a shared commitment to building a greener and healthier future. Students enthusiastically took part in the plantation drive and pledged to care for the saplings, reinforcing their responsibility towards environmental conservation.

The programme concluded with a message that every tree planted today is a step towards a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable tomorrow.
